Chair Massage Volunteers Needed in Denver, April 27

Colorado state legislators will be stepping away from the rush of policymaking and experiencing the therapeutic benefits of massage therapy firsthand on April 27, and you can help raise awareness of your profession.

On Monday, April 27, we invite you to be a part of Massage Therapy Legislative Awareness Day, co-hosted by Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (ABMP) and the American Massage Therapy Association–Colorado Chapter. We’re looking for massage therapists to provide complimentary chair massages to legislators and their staff.

Legislative Awareness Day is a powerful volunteer opportunity to:

  • Showcase the professionalism of Colorado massage therapists
  • Demonstrate to lawmakers your vibrant and healing-focused skills
  • Connect with fellow practitioners who care about the future of the profession

Event Details

Location: Colorado State Capitol Building, 200 E. Colfax Avenue, Denver
Set-up time: 8:30 a.m.
Event run time: 9 a.m.–12:30 p.m. 
Tear down: 12:30 p.m.–1 p.m.

Volunteers will provide 10-minute complimentary chair massages. You may volunteer for all or part of the event.

Event Requirements

All event volunteers must: 

  • Have completed massage school
  • Hold a current Colorado massage therapy license
  • Carry liability insurance coverage
  • Bring their own massage chair and supplies
